GNU mkdir:

$ umask 000
$ mkdir a
$ ls -ld a
drwxrwxrwx 2 jeffrey jeffrey 4096 Feb 11 22:11 a

uutils mkdir:

$ umask 000
$ ./target/debug/mkdir a
$ ls -ld a
drwxr-xr-x 2 jeffrey jeffrey 4096 Feb 11 22:11 a
