    i had a teammate just do this. he wanted to work on data infrastructure and scaling more than stats modeling. he reached out to our team's data engineer, got mentorship to try things out, then worked out with the managers to transfer his role. everybody's still happy 😊

    ⚡️ One of my favorite hidden tips is using the built-in "simple browser" to preview local changes. As a 🍒 on top, you can toggle "developer tools" to inspect the preview.

    Same in industrial labs. This is Google Brain In fact, there are two Turing award winners in this picture. I (totally random person) got to interact with both of them and coauthor a paper with one of them, which is still mind blowing.

    Project Manager, Product Manager, & Program Manager are not the same–though many companies use the role titles interchangeably. Product = defining what to build, and why. Program = establishing processes+procedures to execute. Project = ensuring the execution plan is followed.

    Here's a graph of all the texts between me and since we got engaged (which I printed for her gift). Each of the bars represents a day. The height of the top bar is the combined length of her texts to me on that day, and the height of the bottom bar is my texts to her.
