[v2][source] Tracking issue for installing AWS CLI v2 from source

This issue tracks the progress made toward the official implementation for installing the AWS CLI v2 from source: #6352. Below are the items that need to be completed in order to complete the specification:

• Add support for PEP517. Related pull requests:

  • Add flags to test scripts to allow intalling and running from another… #7353
  • Update metadata distribution field #7357
  • Source dist #7262
• Publish hosted source distribution

We will be updating this issue and this list as progress is made towards completion of the implementation

As mentioned in #4685 (comment) updating PyInstaller from 4.2 to 4.10 works fantastically for building with musl.

There are also newer version of PyInstaller, 5.0.1 at the time of writing, but I've not tried with them yet.

Looks like as of v2.7.30 that PyInstaller was updated to 5.3, so this should be a big help.
