Podcast ad revenue in the US to top $2 billion this year, new study predicts

Podcasting continues to grow in the US as experts predict ad revenue will grow 47% to over $2 billion in 2022. According to Variety, the data comes from a study done by IAB and PwC. This ‘Podcast Advertising Revenue study’ is based on an online survey sent to “leading podcast industry experts” and incorporates market-sizing estimates for companies who didn’t participate in the survey.

How a defective Apple Watch turned into an Apple-FedEx fiasco for a Boston man

Vic Son, a retired salesman from Boston, recently purchased an Apple Watch and found it to stop charging after four months. The watch was still under its one year manufacturer warranty and Son had also purchased two years of AppleCare+. What could’ve been a simple exchange turned into a finger-pointing debacle between Apple and FedEx.  

Apple has been investing a lot in augmented and virtual reality since the introduction of its own ARKit API. However, when it comes to open standards on the web, Apple is still far behind its competitors. In the opinion of industry insiders, the company “has been a drag on innovation in WebAR,” as Safari still lacks support for the WebXR API.

New data from SellCell shows that the Samsung Galaxy S22, which debuted in February, has already depreciated by 47%. The Google Pixel 6 isn’t far behind as it’s already depreciated by 42% after launching in October.
