Darrington Life (https://darrington.life/) is a localized community portal designed to be active during disasters where a town is cut off from cell or internet services and be a alternative to social media for community collaboration and economic development. Such a system would be interconnected to local ISP's and public safety such that it would be a local.911 where you are able to initiate 911 via any handheld or desktop style device.

Final project for Mobile Programming course. Built an app designed for convenient and safe social work response to minor emergencies. User holds down main button, selects type of help, and help will be on the way in an Uber-like fashion. Users can also personalize device to save information into the app. Course was during summer semester with limited time so the implementation of the project was forced to be limited in scope. Built in Android Studios.
