If you wanna level up the fastest hack is to hang out with DIVERSE people who are already at that level. The beauty of twitter is that you can hang with ANYONE. The problem is people follow the wrong accounts. It's noisy as f*ck. Here's 27 women you should follow & why.

The way we manage our goals is broken to the point where many people are questioning the very nature of ambition... So I wrote a little essay exploring the question of why we often struggle to establish, pursue & reach our goals and what to do about it 👇

I think I’ve finally discovered the answer for neurodivergent people who struggle with goal-setting culture! This article suggests replacing goals with growth loops. It fits with how our brains work, especially when linear time perception is a struggle!! Thank you Anne!

This is superb. I've written a lot about the folly of how we often create goals and believe we can map out the path toward them with any specificity. says much the same and does so beautifully.

This fascinating table is from Benjamin Franklin’s book of virtues (circa 1780), which he used to monitor the virtuousness of his behavior – the Puritan version of our modern habit trackers!

Instead of unsustainable resolutions, let’s make 2023 the year of experimentation 🌀 Join me for a lightweight challenge where you'll pick one pact to focus on for 3 weeks. Like a scientist, reflect to see what works & what doesn't. Learn, rinse, repeat!

That's where the concept of meta-emotions comes in. It helps you think about your emotions in terms of layers, e.g: • Emotion: feeling disappointed because you didn't get the job • Meta-emotion: feeling guilty about your disappointment, because other people "have it worse"

Say you worked hard to prepare for an interview for your dream job. You think it went well, anxiously wait, and then... You learn that you didn't get the job. What happens? You probably feel a mix of emotions and don't even know where to start to untangle all those feelings.

Because I write in English and French, I'm hyper aware of how language shapes our worldview. e.g. I grew up in the culture that invented the word "blasé" and when I go back home I instinctively tune my enthusiasm down because being too earnest is perceived as uncool in France...

Reminds me of the "edge effects" concept in article. By hanging around other world-class people, we learn about their ecosystems, which influences our own and allows us to develop unique insights about our areas and the world around us.

I'm a lot more comfortable writing than giving talks. Do you have any resources to recommend to become a more confident public speaker - books, coaching, other methods that worked for you? I'll collate the list and share it back here.

As a long-time fan, I'm excited to host a salon with at today! He's a master of turning complex information into practical strategies - his definition of identity-based habits helped me quit smoking 🚭 What's one question you wish you could ask him?

Today is my birthday! 🥳 My intention for this year is less Chronos (time measured in minutes) and more Kairos (quality of time). I want to bring this intention to everything I do: work, relationships, health... even Twitter. I'm looking forward to more "deep time" together!

I just finished writing my annual review, and... What a year. I got lost & found myself again. Played with AI & made new human friends. Conducted research at one of the oldest universities while building an online learning community. Grateful for this year of liminal creativity!

This year has been really good to me. I'd love to share a little bit of my happiness with you so you can bring it into the new year. Reply with one word describing what you wish 2023 to be for you & tomorrow I'll go to my favorite book shop and pick a book for ten of you!
