Create your account on GitHub.com

If you don’t already have one (or don’t want to use an existing personal account) please create a GitHub account with your icfi email address. For the user name use icf- as the prefix, followed by your first initial and last name:

e.g. Jeff Heinrichs icf-jheinrichs

Install git on your computer

On Windows

Download & install Git keeping all default settings.

Optional: install the github GUI

On Mac

Download Xcode (through the App Store). Not only will this install git, it also has a nice file compare utility.
