WELCOME TO THIS ARTICLE, WHERE I FEATURE 5 TIPS FOR THE GIMP 2. MANY OF THESE TIPS MIGHT SEEM A BIT BASIC FOR MOST PEOPLE, BUT THEY ARE MEANT TO BE SIMPLE FEATURES IN THE PROGRAM, THAT YOU MAYBE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT EARLIER.
So, let's begin!
1. STROKING YOUR SELECTION: To stroke any kind of selection, make sure you have selected something (duh!), then go to Edit>Stroke Selection. You do then have to type in some properties and you are done, basically!

2. DRAWING STRAIGHT LINES: If you want to draw a straight line hold down the shift key while drawing as always before. If you want constraint lines, hold down both the shift key and the CTRL key.
3. CREATING A SPIRAL SHAPED GRADIENT: To create a spiral gradient (or any other kind of special gradient) check the properties for the gradient tool and find a combo box with the title "Shape". Hey people, here's a list of 20 great Firefox addons you maybe didn't know about earlier. Anyway, they are all great! BTW this list isn't made in order of greatness or anything, they are just listed up.
http://www.siteadvisor.com/ If the site is shown as green, it should be safe. You will know whatever the current site is safe or not.
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 Disables all scripts on sites which aren't whitelisted. This can save you from browser exploits. Combine with SiteAdvisor and you can always check whatever the site is safe or not and then allow it if it is safe.
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/614 Allows you to right click and quickly save an image in a specific folder from a customizable list.
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843 Allows you to quickly find bugs in your website and allows you to directly modify it in your browser!

Hello, i'm working on tagbtheory.com in my free time at the moment. My hands are
99% better now :-D tagbtheory will be finished within a few weeks since it is a vert
small and very focused site... then resuming coderprofile.com (i have been doing bits
of it recently tho). I want to release the new version over xmas. The new version tho
is basically a new website altogether! It doesn't even look like coderprofile
anymore. A new simplistic design as well (with colours lol).

It's well worth learning those languages. You will see the power of javascript
when i upload the next update of this site. Look at the prototype and scriptaculous
framework, or even jQuery (which has effects built in).

If you want the most flexibility, your best to learn the languages and stay away from
WYSIWYG apps. I never use them!
