Very timely as I was just thinking about friendships today. Find people who nourish and support you even when you’re awkward, and be a good friend back to them.

Hey, ! 👋🏻 Been a while since I asked, but I’m wondering when y’all will make it possible for meeting attendees to use captions without having to ask a host to turn them on EVERY meeting? Thanks a bunch, A tired deaf person

Partner’s out of town so I took myself out to dinner by motorcycle. This glorious day is not over yet!

Why I make a point to get away from Twitter often. Like doing stuff outside, I highly recommend it

I took a poll a few weeks ago about how many devs have tested their mobile work with a keyboard. Now I'm looking for data on how many disabled folks use a keyboard (bluetooth or other) to navigate the mobile web or apps on their devices. RTs for reach appreciated.

I really need non-Native people to stop saying things like “Seattle native” or “native Washingtonian” when they just mean local or raised in.

Any independent accessibility consultants looking for paid gigs out there? I've got a company looking for manual accessibility testing and VPAT report creation for a relatively small single page app, would love to make recommendations. My DMs are open (for now)!

I can't speak for exactly what you would or wouldn't get out of it, but this from is what I consider to be the gold standard of testing these types of issues and getting signal (if any) out of the results:

Yes because the answer to inaccessibility is *clearly* to only show disabled people a tiny part of the Internet, rather than improving access. This is information deprivation. We do *not* want segregated services.
